Single Entry Visa – Who is it for and what are the benefits?

If you are planning to visit for a long trip, whether it be to catch up with family, attend conferences or simply to travel this beautiful country and you do not want the hassle of constantly leaving and exiting the country; then the Single Entry Visa is the one for you.

The Single Entry Visa allows foreigners to visit the country with a permit of 60 days with the potential to extend again in 30 day increments an additional 4 times. Overall, the maximum length of this visa is 6 months, during which time the visa holder will not be able to exit the country, or the visa will become invalid.

It is important to note that this visa is strictly for social visits and you must refrain from business activities.

If you are looking to work in Indonesia full time you will require a working visa also known as a working KITAS or if you are entering and exiting the country frequently for business trips, we would recommend obtaining a Multiple Entry Visa.

Should I get a Social Visa or should I get a Visa on Arrival (VOA) and extend it?

This really depends on how long you envisage your trip to be. You may only extend your VOA 1 time which means you will have a maximum of 60 days before you will have to fly out the country again. If you plan to spend more than 60 days in Indonesia in one visit, it makes financial sense to obtain a Social Visa.

Tax Registration Number (NPWP)
Company Registration Certificate (TDP)
ID Card (KTP/KITAS) of the company PIC
Bank account statement (minimum balance IDR 20,000,000 (twenty million rupiah) or USD 1,500) of sponsor company

B) If the sponsor is an Individual

Birth certificate of individual sponsor
