Foreigners can now apply for family reunion visas to Indonesia

On September 14, 2020 a new update was released by the Directorate General of Information Indonesia that there are some concessions and will be made to apply for Foreigners can now apply for family reunion visas to Indonesia, such as spouse and dependent KITAS, in this article we will explain how foreigners can now apply for family reunification visas to Indonesia .

This new update is suitable for spouses of Indonesian citizens, as well as children of mixed marriages. This much awaited announcement is great news for the thousands of people affected by the Covid 19 pandemic and means that people can finally return to Indonesia to be with their loved ones.

According to the 14th of September provides an online system for new applications to return online!

Visa Services
Mentioned on the DGI page, the requirements needed for visa application are as follows:
  1. Application Letter
  2. Sponsorship Letter
  3. Colour copy of passport with minimum validity of 18 months for 1 year stay permit
  4. Bank statement with minimum balance of US$ 1,500
  5. Marriage certificate
Additionally, the new announcement applies to:
  • Children of Indonesian mother/father
  • Children of foreigners who are married to Indonesian citizens (under 18 years old and unmarried)

Requirements:

  1. Application Letter and Sponsor Letter signed on the stamp duty
  2. Bank statement with minimum balance of US$ 1,500
  3. Copy of Family Registration Certificate
  4. Copy of marriage certificate
  5. Colour copy of passport with minimum validity of 18 months for 1-year stay permit
  6. Copy of birth certificate
  7. Copy of Indonesian parent’s ID Card
Following spouse (Dependent Visa) Temporary/Permanent (ITAS/ITAP) Stay Permit Holder

Requirements:

  1. Application Letter from the spouse to Directorate of Immigration
  2. Sponsor Letter signed on the stamp duty
  3. Copy of passport with minimum validity of 18 months for 1-year stay permit
  4. Bank statement with minimum balance of US$ 1,500
  5. Copy of marriage certificate
  6. Copy of spouse’s ITAS/ITAP
Children of Foreigners of ITAS/ITAP holder (under 18 years old and unmarried)

Requirements:

  1. Application Letter from the spouse to Directorate of Immigration
  2. Copy of passport with minimum validity of 18 months for 1-year stay permit
  3. Bank statement with minimum balance of US$ 1,500
  4. Copy of marriage certificate
  5. Copy of family registration certificate
  6. Sponsor Letter signed on the stamp duty
  7. Copy of birth certificate
  8. Copy of parents’ ITAS/ITAP
